The model of the Hanseatic cog is yet another member of the series of historic wooden ships. It was used between the 12th and the 16th century and had a huge influence on commercial shipping in that time. The present model is the replication of a cog discovered in 1962 in Bremen as a wreck. Its restoration took 38 years, in May 2000 it was finally presented to public in the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven. All details of the original are mirrored in this unique model.
